The challenge
Brabant Water wants its water production companies to function in a future-proof and reliable way. For this, it is crucial not only to set up maintenance properly, but also to know where vulnerabilities are in the production process. The question to INNOCY: identify areas for improvement and draw up a risk-based maintenance plan.
The solution
INNOCY analysed the processes within the water production companies and carried out an FMECA (Failure Mode, Effects and Criticality Analysis). This allowed us to systematically identify potential bottlenecks, failure modes and associated risks. We also conducted a single point of failure analysis to identify where availability improvements are possible.
The result
Brabant Water now has a substantiation for setting up a risk-based maintenance plan, which prioritises the components with the greatest impact in the event of failure. In addition, the project delivered:
- Concrete insight into improvement opportunities for higher availability
- Points of attention for future new construction and renovation projects
- A solid foundation for structural risk-based asset management
With this approach, INNOCY contributes to a safe, reliable and efficient drinking water supply for the residents of Brabant.
